Mazen Mokhtar

Mazen Mokhtar has built a distinguished career over the past 28 years. He currently leads as CEO of Baitulmaal, a globally recognized humanitarian organization. Previously, he served as the Executive Director of the Muslim American Society (MAS), where he played a pivotal role in advancing the development of the American Muslim community, particularly among youth.

Mazen is known for his strategic foresight and innovative leadership style, which have driven organizational growth and efficiency. He excels in communication, leveraging his fluency in English, Arabic, and French to enhance team collaboration and stakeholder relations.

In his role at Baitulmaal in Irving, Texas, Mazen strategically directs organizational goals and oversees humanitarian initiatives in more than 23 countries, including the U.S. He is also responsible for financial management and fostering strategic partnerships, notably launching the American Humanitarian Forum in 2019.

From 2013 to 2018, Mazen oversaw a nationwide network of chapters at MAS, implementing programs that bolster community service and educational outreach. His participation in the "Winning the Peace" program at West Point highlights his commitment to cultural and religious sensitivity.

Before his nonprofit endeavors, Mazen had a prolific career in IT. He founded MindCraft, an IT consulting firm that catered to a diverse clientele, including large corporations. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and has contributed to academia with innovative solutions to complex problems like the Traveling Salesman Problem.

Residing in Irving, Texas, with his family, Mazen Mokhtar is actively involved in philanthropic efforts, reflecting the charitable values he instilled during his upbringing in Alexandria, Egypt. His interests in history, reading, chess, and travel enrich his personal life and inspire his professional and community engagements.
